The Clay Society are Handmade shells, are made from Australian smooth Stoneware Clay. Each piece is cut, shaped and hand formed within our studio.
The surface of each piece is hand-brushed with a non toxic matt white glaze or mustard varied glaze created in our studio. Our ceramics are fired to a high temperate making each piece strong and durable. Dimensions: each piece is hand-cut and will vary slightly in shape and size. Shells are designed to fit “this is incense” sticks - with smaller holes for this particular brand.

An unexpected surprise!
This was given to me as part of a gift, thinking that it was a catch-all for trinkets, which was what I was using it for on my bedside table. Skip to today where I was browsing the website for more incense and I see my beautiful shell dish actually had a purpose! Either way, as a dish or an incense holder, it is beautiful and functional and I love it to bits!
